On the 7th day of August in 2017, we witnessed the birth of one of South Korea’s most prominent and acclaimed idol groups of all time, Wanna One.
This remarkable group is composed of eleven members possessed with exceptional skills and positive attitude that paved the way to their roaring success not only in the local, but in the global scene. All this was made possible through the support of their loving fans of which they called, Wannables.
But unlike other idols, Wanna One and Wannables had to endure the bittersweet taste of hellos and goodbyes in a short span of two years. Even so, they chose to live in those moments than not risking it at all. So much for a love story, huh?
Fast-forward to 1000 days since their debut, despite the rapid emergence of other idol groups, Wannables have proven that ‘once a fan, always a fan’.
In celebration of one thousand days with these precious boys, here are 5 Promises to being fulfilled by Wannables:
1. Eonjena jikil geoya always (I’ll protect you, always)
Success comes with trials and sometimes you might think you’re alone. But since the day you named us Wannable, we vowed to stay by your side, no matter the time, no matter the distance and it will be that way, always.
2. Yaksokhaeyo nochi ankettago (I promise you, I won’t let go)
It must’ve been pretty evident that being a fan does not stop simply because you don’t see your idols together in one stage, not being able to scream their name at the top of your lungs, or not having to anticipate a new song or album release. Being a fan is supporting and loving them even if it means growing apart.
3. Gieokalkke neoui ireumeul (I will remember your name)
The two years we’ve shared with you was the most unforgettable two years of our lives. We promise to keep those memories instilled in our minds and your names carved deep in our hearts.
4. Oh I love you and I will love you yeongwonboda ttak haruman deo (Oh I love you and I will love you forever and a day)
This might sound absurd, but not a day comes that we don’t think about you.
5. Uri dasi manna Bombarami jinagamyeon (Let’s meet again when spring breeze passes)
As much as we want to live in the moment and not think about the future, we can’t deny that we still have a little hope in our hearts that one day we’ll meet again. (Even if it’s just in our dreams.

We’ve said this a million times but we’ll say it over and over again.
And just like one family, let’s continue to support Yoon Jisung, Ha Sungwoon, Hwang Minhyun, Ong Seongwu, Kim Jaehwan, Kang Daniel, Park Jihoon, Park Woojin, Bae Jinyoung, Lee Daehwi, and Lai Kuanlin to a road to INFINITY.
