10 cm is a South Korean musical act. The band originally consisted of two members: Kwon Jung-yeol and Yoon Cheol-jong. The name of the band, 10 cm, refers to the two core members’ height difference. Since its debut in 2010 with the release of 10cm The First EP, the band has been a rookie among other Korean bands. The band won “This Year’s Discovery Award” at the 2010 Mnet Asian Music Awards, and “Best Pop Song Award” at the 2011 Korean Music Awards.

Kwon Jung-yeol was the main vocalist in the group and played the jembe, a type of percussion played with bare hands while Yoon Cheol-jong played the guitar. In 2017 it was announced that Yoon Cheol-jong would leave the band after deciding not to renew his contract due to health concerns. In July 2017, he admitted the use of marijuana.

Since the debut release, they released one Americano in 2010, and the first official album 1.0 in February 2011. The album sold over 20,000 copies, which Korean music critics called remarkable considering consumers’ tendency to download music online. The band also held its first concert in February 2011. On September 11, their song “Hold Me” reached #16 on Billboard K-Pop Hot 100. A remake of the song was released on May 10, 2013, as a collaborative single by 10 cm and Orange Caramel, titled “Hug Song.”

10CM will hold a real-time online solo performance for the first time as a non-idol musician through Kakao TV on October 10 at 8:30 PM KST. The event is titled “Hotel Room 1010,” thus implementing the feel and concept of a hotel room live concert instead of a real concert hall. It will be presented to give the audience a sense of realism from the live show even though it is an online performance and listeners can fully immerse themselves in the performance.

10CM Kwon Jeong-yeol said, “Starting with this online concert ‘Hotel Room 1010,’ we are struggling to come up with more diverse things to do with our fans in the future Although it is conducted non-face-to-face, it is exciting because it is a solo performance that is presented in 10 months. I want to enjoy the advantages that only online performances can give by focusing on real-time communication comments with viewers. Please look forward to it.”

This solo performance will be hosted by Red Company, Inc. and sponsored by the Korea Creative Content Agency. Get your tickets now!
