A Portrait of You: EXO’s Suho enchants us with his most awaited 1st solo album

EXO’s leader, Kim Junmyeon or widely known for his stage name Suho, will finally make his solo debut this March 30, 2020. Suho is known to have interest in art and fashion, and it truly shows through his Instagram photos. He has heavily expressed his love for Van Gogh through words, post cards, and other items that are patterned out through van Gogh’s art.

Suho is also known for his love towards his members and their fans. He has always expressed his feelings using their catch phrase “EXO Saranghaja”, which directly translate to “Let’s Love”.

Although he’s been in movies, dramas and was a lead role in a musical, he sure did not let that phase him as a singer and continued to love and be passionate about music. Finally, after years of waiting, Suho is set to have his solo debut with a mini album called “Self-Portrait”. His prince-like features were accentuated more as his teaser photos were released and because his inspiration is art itself, the over-all theme of his debut is about a reflection of himself based on van Gogh’s way of art. This can be seen through his album covers, which has 2 versions.

The mini album consists of 6 songs, wherein the title track is called “Let’s Love”, which is the catch phrase that EXO says a lot, making this very sentimental for him. His soft vocals were shown in the highlight medley segment, which was called ‘자화상 (Self-Portrait)’ Album Flip Moment. Listening to the medley sure made everyone feel how meaningful it was.

This whole album holds a very huge meaning to Suho and there are various components to the album that sparked EXO-Ls curiosity. Since EXO is known to have various hidden and mysterious concepts hidden in their albums, Suho’s debut album is no different as he used this as a platform to show his love for his members and his fans, but most of all his love for art and music. EXO-Ls, tried to decode what the numbers on the back of Suho’s album meant and these are what they came up with.
