One In An Army Charity Project has managed to raise $1 million for charities supporting the Black Lives Matter movement within 24 hours.
On Saturday 6th June 2020, BTS and BigHit Entertainment announced their $1 million donations to Black Lives Matter. #MatchAMillion began to trend as fans encouraged each other to join forces and match the donation.
In a press release from One In An Army, a spokesperson said, “We’ve run big projects before, but the amount of support for this project is overwhelming. We truly didn’t know whether the goal would be reached. We’re so proud that ARMY have once again channeled their power for good and are making a real impact in the fight against anti-black racism.”
Blacks Lives Matter is a movement that began in 2013 following numerous deaths of black men and women due to excessive force from the police.
In 2020, the problem of police brutality against people of colour is still an injustice that has been broadcast across the world.
Thank you for all that donated!
