B1A4 is a South Korean boy group formed by WM Entertainment. On April 23, 2011, with the single “O.K” from the EP Let’s Fly, after being introduced to the public through a webtoon. They have released seven studio albums (three Korean and four Japanese) and seven EPs, and four compilation albums. The group has had considerable commercial and critical success in both the Korean and Japanese markets. They have also toured in the United States. On June 30, 2018, WM Entertainment confirmed that Jinyoung and Baro had left the agency following their contracts.
On November 16, WM Entertainment announced that B1A4 members Jinyoung and Baro will not promote with the group for the time being, with the remaining three members – CNU, Sandeul, and Gongchan – to continue promoting as B1A4. On September 29, 2020, WM Entertainment announced that B1A4 would be making a comeback with their fourth Korean studio album Origine and its lead single “Like a Movie (영화처럼)” on October 19, 2020.
“Origine” is the 4th regular album from B1A4, and this comeback comes after 3 years and 1 month since their last album. Shinwoo said, “For us, this album is a huge change and a challenge. I thought that B1A4 is an album that can be a new starting point for moving forward, so I thought more about it.” Sandeul also expressed, “We had a lot of thoughts and meetings about the B1A4 identity in the future,” in an online showcase held before the release of the album on the 19th.

Shinwoo also confessed, “It is true that it is a lot of burdens as it is the first album released after the reorganization.”However, he also emphasized, “We prepared harder because we know how upset the fans will be with the reorganization into a trio.”
B1A4, who had been preparing for a comeback since two months ago, said, “It was our greatest wish that we wanted to come out quickly with B1A4. I thought that when I went to sleep every day while serving. This moment is like a movie.” The 12 songs included in this album are all self-composed songs, as the group has the title, ‘self-producing idol’ now attached to it. The members have shown excellent producing ability with this album.
The title song ‘Like a Movie’ is Shinwoo’s own song. A projector’s sound that announces the beginning of the song and the sound texture imitating watching a silent movie create a lyrical feel. Shinwoo said, “I wrote it (Like A Movie) with the idea that it would be nice to have fans hear it as soon as possible. That’s all I thought about when the day was over.”
“Like a movie with a fixed ending, it contains content that no matter what twists and turns, hardships, and trials, love will continue like fate. I wanted to give a song like a gift to the fans who waited for me,” said Shinwoo.
Sandeul’s solo song ‘Tumping,’ Shinwoo’s solo song “Zero Gravity,” Gongchan’s solo song ‘I’m stained with you’ and the fan song ‘See you in the hot summer to love’ are also included in the album. This year being their 10th year since debut, Gongchan said, “To me, B1A4 is youth,” he said, “I am grateful (to fans) for spending a long time together for 10 years, and I want to create our beautiful youth in the future.”
