Script Reading of “Brewing Love” Reveals Dynamic Chemistry Among Cast

The production team for ENA’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama Brewing Love has shared highlights from the script reading session, which took place on the 12th. The event showcased the vibrant synergy among the cast, heightening anticipation for the show’s premiere on November 4th.

Brewing Love centers on the exhilarating romance between Yong-ju (Kim Se-jeong), a passionate sales executive in the liquor industry who is accustomed to concealing her emotions, and Min-ju (Lee Jong-won), a sensitive brewery CEO with a knack for perceiving feelings. Their contrasting personalities—like different beers with unique tastes and aromas—lead to a compelling story filled with humor, excitement, and empathy.

Director Park Seon-ho, known for his successful romantic comedies such as Business Proposal and Suspicious Partner, teams up with debut writer Lee Jung-shin to craft another captivating love story. During the script reading, Director Park, writer Lee, and actors Kim Se-jeong, Lee Jong-won, Shin Do-hyun, and Baek Seong-cheol brought their characters to life with remarkable energy and chemistry.

Kim Se-jeong, taking on the role of Chae Yong-ju, the legendary sales king in the liquor industry, impressed with her dynamic performance. Chae Yong-ju is a determined and physically robust character with a background in the special forces, on a mission to protect her sales office. Kim Se-jeong showcased her versatility as a “romantic comedy goddess,” capturing Chae Yong-ju’s multifaceted personality with her signature charm.

Lee Jong-won portrays Yoon Min-joo, the brewery CEO known for his emotional sensitivity and delicacy. His portrayal of Min-joo, who often isolates himself to avoid emotional overwhelm, was marked by subtle and effective acting. Lee Jong-won’s performance promised a refreshing transformation and heightened expectations for the show.

Shin Do-hyun, as Bang A-reum, the head of the Power J planning team, delivered a compelling performance. A-reum, who competes with Chae Yong-ju over Yoon Min-joo’s brewery, showcases a strong desire for recognition and an intriguing evolution as she faces off against a formidable rival. Shin Do-hyun’s portrayal highlighted her ability to balance beauty with strength, drawing attention to her role’s depth.

Baek Sung-chul, playing Oh Chan-hwi, Chae Yong-ju’s free-spirited best friend and toast truck driver, infused the character with lively energy and charm. His portrayal of Chan-hwi’s carefree nature left a strong impression and added a touch of humor to the ensemble.

The production team of Brewing Love stated, “Viewers will experience the vibrant synergy of Kim Se-jeong, Lee Jong-won, Shin Do-hyun, and Baek Sung-chul as they bring to life a warm and cheerful romantic comedy. We look forward to presenting a delightful story filled with various youthful experiences and charms.”
