BTS‘s V and BLACKPINK‘s Jennie have been the subject of dating rumors after an alleged photo of them together made the rounds online.
According to the original uploader, the two stars were allegedly seen riding in a car with untinted windows on Jeju Island. This also came after news that Jennie and rumored boyfriend BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon had broken up, although their relationship had never actually been confirmed.
This is a photo that was sent in today. It might be they’re lookalikes, but it is allegedly a photo of two top idols. The female idol, in particular, has been rumored to have broken up with an OG idol member. So fans seem to be more receptive to this photo as true. We won’t name any names as we are not able to fact-check the photo.

Many fans have claimed that the alleged picture of Jennie and V was edited.
Some ARMYs believe that this is the case after similarities were pointed out between the photo and a screenshot from an episode of BTS’s reality series BTS In the SOOP, in which V drove himself and fellow member J-Hope. The composition certainly resembles each other, making it possible for the base of an edit.

However, another common possibility mentioned is that the people in the alleged photo might not be Jennie and/or V but instead are lookalikes.
Some netizens have suspected that the man pictured is model Taek (@clorlk on Instagram).
In many of his Instagram photos, it’s undeniable that there is an uncanny resemblance between him and V from his style, wavy hair, and profile.
Especially when he wears sunglasses, like in the alleged photo of V and Jennie, Taek looks eerily like V.
As he is a model based in Korea, it also seemed probable that he could be connected to Jennie (if the woman in question is indeed her) as she frequently models too.
If that was not enough to make one suspicious that Taek is the man pictured in the photo, he was also recently on Jeju Island!
So, naturally, netizens came to believe they had found the true identity of the pictured man.

Now, Taek has responded to the allegations.
Taek has been receiving messages concerning the matter of the viral picture. So, he hoped to put an end to it by publicly posting a response in English on Instagram. In his statement, he claims that the man pictured is not him.
Additionally, he had directly responded to netizens’ comments.
Still, V’s label HYBE/BIGHIT MUSIC has not released a statement regarding the matter. Jennie’s label, YG Entertainment, neither confirmed nor denied the allegations in a statement to the media outlet Chosun.
We have nothing to say.

Netizens have also begun suspecting that the entire thing is fabricated to cover up LE SSERAFIM Garam’s bullying scandal. Read more below:
