BTS‘s history maker V has broken a legendary, eight-year-old record!

Since 2012, PSY has reigned supreme on iTunes, having become the first Korean soloist with the most No.1s on its charts. He swept the worldwide “iTunes Top Song Chart” with his mega hit “Gangnam Style”, ranking No.1 in a total of 86 countries.

On May 24, V made headlines when he matched PSY’s record with “Sweet Night”, a solo song for the Itaewon Class OST. In just two months, “Sweet Night” snapped up No.1s in 86 countries without any promotions, before finally breaking PSY’s eight-year record.

As of May 25, V now holds PSY’s title as the Korean soloist with the most No.1 on iTunes, having achieved No.1s in 88 countries!

Fans couldn’t be prouder of V and everything he has achieved. To celebrate the occasion, ARMY trended #HistoryMakerV on Twitter and tweeted out congratulatory messages.
