Casting finalized for upcoming tvN drama Little Women

Casting has been finalized for tvN’s upcoming drama Little Women, with Kim Go-eun (Yumi’s Cells), Nam Ji-hyun (The Witch’s Diner), and Park Ji-hoo (All of Us Are Dead) confirmed in leading roles.

Based on Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel by the same name, the three play sisters who have a close-knit relationship and come from a poor family. When they encounter an unprecedented situation, it leads to them facing-off against an affluent family in South Korea. The drama follows their journey, and explores the question of what money can mean in life.

Kim Go-eun takes on the part of the oldest sister, Oh In-joo. Money, for her, is the practical means by which she protects her family and provides for them. From a young age, she experienced the struggles of poverty first-hand and her dream is simply to support her family and live like other people do.

Nam Ji-hyun is the idealistic second sister, Oh In-kyung. Intelligent, proud, and with a strong sense of duty, she is passionate about her work as a reporter and always strives to do the right thing. Her life’s motto is to never sell her soul just for the sake of money.

The youngest sister, Oh In-hye, is played by Park Ji-hoo. She attends a prestigious arts high school where she specializes in visual art. Having grown up watching her two older sisters work tirelessly to care for her, she appreciates everything that they do, but sometimes feels burdened by the weight of their love.

Directing for Little Women is PD Kim Hee-won (Vincenzo, The Crowned Clown), with scripts penned by screenwriter Jung Seo-kyung (Mother, Lady Vengeance). The drama is currently being planned to air early next year in 2022.
