IZ*ONE was one of the most successful K-Pop girl groups while they were active despite only being around for about three years. Their popularity helped WIZ*ONEs, IZ*ONE’s official fandom, raise over ₩1.00 billion KRW (about $789,000 USD) in an initiative called “Parallel Universe” to prevent the members from separating, but the group still disbanded on April 21, 2021.
The individual members of the group have found success since then, but many fans were unsure exactly how close the girls stayed since many of them were from different companies. GOT7‘s BamBam asked Choi Yena if she was still friends with her former teammates on an episode of his web series, Bam House.
Yena reassured BamBam and WIZ*ONEs that IZ*ONE was closer than ever! Their tight friendship was fully displayed when Yena revealed some of the former IZ*ONE members knew the password to her house. “Of course! My house is where all of them gather. When I am not even in the house, they gather ahead,” she said.
The former teammates visited so often that Yena’s older brother, who could almost count as a member, had no problem with them coming over even when Yena wasn’t home. This proves the bond between the girls is a true sisterhood.
Although fans cannot see many public interactions between the former members of IZ*ONE, it’s reassuring to hear from Yena that all of the girls are still close friends! Hopefully, they can continue seeing each other outside work and in more official activities.
