Shin Hae-sun also appeared in front of Kang Hoon in the form of Eun-ho.

The 6th episode of Genie TV original ‘Dear Hyeri’ that aired on October 8th recorded 3.5% in viewership ratings nationwide and 3.8% in the metropolitan area, breaking its own record high viewership ratings. (According to Nielsen Korea)

Episode 6 depicts the perspective of Hyun-oh (Lee Jin-wook) leaving Eun-ho (Shin Hye-sun) home alone. Hyun-oh briefly looks at the necklace hanging in the car, and his childhood is revealed at the same time.

The scene where his mother, who left home due to his father’s violence and gambling, leaves Hyun-oh a necklace as her last words and asks him to become someone he can see anywhere, and the scene where he goes to give money to a middle-aged woman who is a loan shark at a gambling house on his father’s errand and gets slapped in the face are heartbreaking.

After that, Hyun-oh drew attention by making a deal with a loan shark, Mi-ja Halmae (Choi Soo-min), at the moment when his father suddenly passed away and he was to be placed in an orphanage. In exchange for paying off his father’s debt, he accepted her offer to live with five middle-aged women, including himself, and take care of them until he grew old and weak.

After that, Hyun-oh asked her to take in Ji-on (Kang Sang-joon) and Soo-jeong (Lee Pil-ra), who were neglected by their parents and starving, and after a long time, they became a warm family. The necklace hanging in the car was a gift from Eun-ho to Hyun-oh, who lost the necklace his mother gave him. Hyun-oh took it off and suppressed his feelings for Eun-ho again as he headed to the hospital where the family who raised him was receiving treatment.

Nevertheless, Hyun-oh showed that he still protected Eun-ho in his own way. Eun-ho asked the news director to keep the noon news, which was in danger of being cut, and gave up the 9 o’clock news anchor position, which was her lifelong dream. When Eun-ho found out about this, she went straight to Hyun-oh and said, “Do you owe me anything? Stop the nonsense and do the 9 o’clock news,” and shouted, “If not, I’m still too pitiful.” Eun-ho cried, “I know I was a swindler too. But don’t be an obstacle. I barely made an effort to live. You shouldn’t do this to me,” and left Hyun-oh alone in the office, saying, “It’s not like I’m giving in to my ex-girlfriend. It’s revenge. It’s revenge that you’re better off.”

After that, Eun-ho headed to the elevator, unable to hold back her tears, and when she asked him, “Why are you meeting me?” when they were lovers in the past, Hyun-oh didn’t answer and just laughed. Hyun-oh sent Eun-ho back in a taxi and sent her a message saying, “Because I love you.” When he confessed, “Because I love you,” and Eun-ho’s happy smile was depicted, it brought about regret for their relationship that had changed since then.

Meanwhile, Hye-yeon’s (Jo Hye-joo) MZ side was revealed in this episode. When the moment when Hye-yeon went into a hotel room with Joo-yeon (Kang Hoon) to talk during a business trip to Busan was caught on camera and became a scandal, she confidently told the manager, “Shouldn’t you report this as an invasion of privacy?” and “The person who had something to do with me was another colleague.” After that, the director told her, “Do you know how messed up you look?” and notified her of her departure from the news, and she seemed hurt by the malicious comments that poured in. However, when Joo-yeon apologized, saying, “I should have been more careful,” Hye-yeon shed tears and said, “Do you know what really pisses me off?” while pointing to the newspaper photo and saying, “Do you know what makes me really mad?” and making everyone laugh. Also, when the company demanded an apology to the public, she was unable to accept it, and wrote on social media, “I apologize for disappointing you a bit by inviting a man to my hotel room and flirting with him, contrary to my image,” drawing laughter. Afterwards, she showed another charm when she accepted the senior announcer’s words, “How can I watch the news because I’m disturbed by your private life? Apologize to the news viewers.”

At the end of the broadcast, Eun-ho was shown heading to the Media N Seoul parking lot management office in a similar manner to Hye-ri, drawing attention and curiosity as to whether Hye-ri had disappeared. Ju-yeon had been waiting for Hye-ri, who had not come to work for several days, and when she found Hye-ri’s back at the parking lot management office, she called Hye-ri’s name. Soon, Hye-ri appeared in front of Ju-yeon with her bangs gone, smiled brightly, and said, “Hello. Kang Joo-yeon.” Ju-yeon smiled as they looked at each other, drawing attention to the direction of Hye-ri and Ju-yeon’s romance.

In the trailer that followed, when Eun-ho greets Joo-yeon by saying, “Hello. I’m PPS Joo Eun-ho. Nice to meet you,” and asks to shake her hand, Joo-yeon is surprised to see the band-aid on Eun-ho’s hand, raising curiosity about what will happen next.

In addition, it was revealed that the reason Eun-ho developed a second personality, Hye-ri, was because her younger sister Hye-ri went missing, and that Hyun-oh broke up with Eun-ho after dating her for 8 years because of an unfortunate family history, stimulating curiosity. In addition, Joo-yeon realized that Hye-ri and Eun-ho are the same person, and with the addition of the unique Hye-yeon, the character narratives of all the main characters are opened up, raising excitement and expectations for their romance that will unfold in earnest in the future.
