Face Me (페이스 미)
Synopsis: Cha Jeong Woo was once an emergency medicine doctor, but after losing his lover in a mysterious incident, he turned his back on his former career. Seeking something less emotionally demanding, he became a highly sought-after plastic surgeon, renowned for his exceptional anatomical knowledge and deft surgical skills. Known as “God’s Hand” in the industry, Jeong Woo excels at his craft—but he has one major flaw: he lacks emotional connection with his patients. He is aloof and detached, focusing solely on the technical aspects of surgery rather than the people he operates on.
Despite his cold demeanor, Jeong Woo inadvertently gains a reputation as a righteous doctor when he becomes involved in a case with homicide detective Lee Min Hyeong. Min Hyeong, deeply invested in a victim’s case, seeks Jeong Woo’s help in a critical moment, and their paths cross unexpectedly. As a result, Jeong Woo’s reputation soars, but things take a dark turn when a patient, who was refused surgery by Jeong Woo, leaves a suicide note blaming him.
The incident causes Jeong Woo to lose his hard-earned fame, and in an effort to rebuild his reputation, he begins a new initiative—reconstructive plastic surgery for crime victims. The project is framed as a form of social responsibility, with the support of his hospital director. However, this initiative brings him into conflict with Min Hyeong, who is investigating the cases of the victims Jeong Woo treats.
As they work together, tensions rise between Jeong Woo and Min Hyeong, and their complicated relationship begins to unravel, revealing dark secrets. The truth about Jeong Woo’s past—and the tragic accident that led him to leave his former profession—starts to surface, especially when the mysterious death of a patient ties back to the unresolved trauma he thought was behind him.
As Jeong Woo and Min Hyeong dig deeper into the victims’ cases, they uncover shocking truths. Will they be able to solve the mystery of the past and uncover the truth behind the deaths that still haunt them both?
