“The way they are so underrated hurts because the music they release is absolutely beautiful. They were able to get back up and continue giving us music even when losing two members. They’re so strong. Thank you ladies code. Thank you Eunbi and Rise. Rest in eternal peace,” a fan remembered.

In 2019, the surviving members of Ladies Code broke their silence and opened up for the first time about what truly happened on the ill-fated accident that happened in September 3, 2014. Sojung specifically told how hard it was for her to celebrate her birthday ever year knowing that it is the same day that fellow members Rise and Eunbi died. She recalled that the girls even surprised her with a simple cake on her birthday and the accident followed.

Rise is a Japanese-Korean kpop singer who won the Overseas Koreans Award at the 53rd Miss Korea Selection Competition in 2009 and appeared on MBC’s “Great Birth.” Since debuting as a member of Ladies’ Code in 2013, she has received great love for “Pretty Pretty,” “Bad Girl” and “Kisses.”

After the accident, Ladies’ Code continued its activities as a trio of Ashley, Sojung, and Juni. They terminated their exclusive contract with the agency in February and are going their separate ways.
