It’s been reported that a fire broke out at Kingdom: Ashin Of The North” filming set.
At 1:42 p.m. KST on January 7, a castle on the Gaeun Open Set located in North Gyeongsang Province caught on fire. After one hour, the fire was put out completely.
The fire was caused by a staff member who attempted to melt the snow using a torch lamp. A source from the drama explained the cause of the fire, have they resumed filming after a thorough inspection of the set. It was said that the finishing material on the outer wall of the castle caught fire as well as the part of it, nine firetrucks were dispatched to put out the fire.
“Kingdom: Ashin of the North” is a special one-episode bonus story and an extension of “Kingdom” season two. It is scheduled to air some time in 2021, Netflix has not commented on the exact air date.
