Former Wonder Girls member Yubin has established her very own agency!

On February 18, Yubin posted a message to her Instagram with a special announcement. She stated that this past January, she finally left JYP Entertainment to start something new on her own.
She continued,

February 18, 2020, I am able to introduce you guys to my new entertainment company, rrr Entertainment.

She also stated that she will have various goals that she will be responsible for as the company’s artist and CEO, and that she hopes to show her real image in real life.

 

The “rrr” in rrr Entertainment stands for ‘real recognizes real’ in hopes to show the real true images of artists as well as herself.
Yubin joined JYPE in 2007 and made her subsequent debut with Wonder Girls the same year. After renewing her contract in 2014, she left the agency on January 25, 2020 after her contract ended.

Below is her official statement:

Hello this is Yoobin. I am writing this letter to let you know of some news.

This past January, I left my longtime family and home of JYP Entertainment to start something new by myself. After much thought and preparations, I am able to introduce you to something new that I have started.

As of February 18, 2020 I introduce you to rrr Entertainment. I am both an artist and the CEO of the company and will continue to show you the real Yoobin in the realest way possible.

‘rrr’ stands for ‘real recognizes real’ and means exactly what it says. We will show the true and real images of our artists as well as myself.

I will continue to show you my current and future self through this new company and I hope that you all will join me. I am always thankful to everyone.

Yubin launched her solo career in 2018 with the single album City Woman and title track “Lady”. Her last release under JYPE was with her third single album Start of The End, and title track “Silent Movie” feat. Yoon Mi Rae.
