Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon Drops Special MV for Gran Saga’s Theme Song

The upcoming online game Gran Saga’s official theme song is out!

NPIXEL, a Korean game developer company, previously revealed that while the game is preparing to be launched next year, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon will be lending her voice for the online game’s theme song, which is entitled ‘Ahead of Destiny.’

On October 30, the song’s music video was uploaded on the official YouTube channel of ‘Gran Saga.’ In the video, Taeyeon walks in an abandoned hall with several chandeliers and pianos. She then came across old sheets and started singing.

Last September 2019, NPIXEL announced that they would launch their first mobile MMORPG (massively-multipayer online role-playing game), titled ‘Gran Saga.’ The game focuses on a group of knights trying to save a kingdom from an evil dragon’s curse. It is also said that it will be powered by Unreal Engine 4 with an emphasis on characters and weapons.

Following the announcement, NPIXEL released several trailers for ‘Gran Saga,’ and one is the game’s backstory. The developers aim to release the game next year.

Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon has launched several singles this year. On May 4, the female idol unveils the digital single entitled ‘Happy,’ which was supposed to be out on March 9, it was postponed as her father passed away, followed by her grandmother’s death.

On October 1, the singer revealed the music video of ‘#GirlsSpkOut,’ which is the title track. A pre-release of her second mini Japanese album set to be officially out on November 18. The album’s name is similar to its title track, and it consists of five songs. According to Girls’ Generation Taeyeon, the singles talk about the problems and sadness people experience daily while hoping for a brighter tomorrow.

The title track ‘#GirlsSpkOut’ delivers an empowering message that will encourage people to express themselves and show the real them to live a positive life. As of October 30, its music video, uploaded on SM Entertainment’s official YouTube channel, is about to hit 3 million views.

On October 19, it was unveiled that the track ‘Let Me Go’ on the new album ‘with HER’ of K-Pop male idol, Crush will be sung with Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon. The next day, the said single, and Crush’s new mini-album music video was released.

‘Let Me Go’ is described as a smooth R&B and soul track that focuses on a breakup that is about to happen in the future. Crush took part in writing the lyrics of the song as well as in composing it. Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon previously teamed up with the male artist in 2016 for Crush’s ‘Don’t Forget.’

Besides launching songs, the K-Pop female singer became a fixed cast of the ‘Amazing Saturday’ television program along with SHINee’s Key. A representative from the said show stated that Taeyeon would be filming for the first time as a permanent member in November.
