The show follows a judge (Son Hyun Joo) who covers up his son’s (Kim Do Hoon) murder and then faces off against a crime organization boss (Kim Myung Min) who is hunting down his son’s (Heo Nam Joon) killer.

Yet, the OP of the post then shared that the catch of the show was that it’s an ENA original show, which will only be shown live on the ENA channel and then on the Genie TV platform.

When the post was shared hours before the premiere, netizens shared their “complaints” about the platform the show was going to be on. Some shared the top caliber of actors and how disappointing it was that a highly-anticipated show would be on a platform deemed not as accessible. But others shared that it might not be as difficult as people expect, with some sharing that it can be watched live.

  • Why aren’t they using those actors to promote on OTT platforms?
  • What on earth is going on here? Does this even count as marketing?
  • They’re trying to increase subscribers by making it an exclusive title…
  • At least make it accessible for us to watch.
  • If you have KT Giga Genie at home, you can watch it. I didn’t know either, but it turns out my TV has Genie TV…
  • I’m seriously going crazy; this was the show I was most looking forward toㅠㅠㅠㅠ
  • That’s why I’m going to watch it live on TVㅠㅠ Please release it on other OTT platforms too…
  • You can’t watch it unless it’s live on TV…ㅠ
  • They must have a hobby of wasting money.#
  • Genie TV???… At least give us a subscription option!!!
  • Oh Genie… Ah….
  • Again with Genie…
  • Sell it to Netflix or TVING, please.
  • It starts today. I’m going to watch it.
  • Genie TV is seriously frustrating. I can’t even watch it because there’s no way to do so.

It isn’t the first ENA original as Extraordinary Attorney Woo aired on the channel, but had already got a deal to also air it on Netflix.

With the show airing on August 12, it will be interesting to see how the show’s viewership goes on ENA and then GenieTV.
