Singer and actress IU (Lee Ji-eun) looked back on 2019.
She guested in the MBC FM “Kim Eana’s Night letter” and recalled her past year.
The singer recently finished her Asian tour and said, “I looked back at my calendar and saw that I barely took a day off. It was a busy year”.
“But I look better than I did when I finished “My Mister”. I feel better, although I’m tired, but I’m glad the tour is over”.
“I hear many singers go home and burn out when they finish a concert, but thankfully I don’t. I don’t feel the difference between being where there are many people and being alone in my room. I’m not sentimental in that way”, she added.
She talked about balancing the life of a singer and an actress. She said, “Acting influences my music. When I’m a singer, I feel everything I need when I’m acting comes from it. Each job has a different synergy. So I write songs when I’m doing drama, because it requires so much emotion. I also use my acting abilities on stage when I’m singing”.
IU added, “I don’t tend to lean towards anything. I love both acting and singing, and that’s what keeps me going”.
