Actor Jang Ki-yong is continuing his romance streak.

According to a SPOTV News interview on the 17th, Jang Ki-yong is set to appear in the new SBS drama Shouldn’t Have Kissed (also known as Kissing for No Reason).

Shouldn’t Have Kissed depicts the inner romance of a single woman who pretends to be a mother to make a living and the team leader who falls in love with her.

Jang Ki-yong is currently considering the role of Gong Ji-hyeok, the team leader who falls for Go Da-rim (Ahn Eun-jin), a woman who adopts the identity of a married woman for her livelihood. Gong Ji-hyeok is characterized by his brilliant mind, cool judgment, and passionate execution, making him a successful figure. He is expected to provide viewers with exciting and thrilling moments as he navigates the complexities of “impossible love” and “inevitable love” after becoming entangled with Go Da-rim.

Jang Ki-yong has captured the hearts of audiences with his wide range of emotional acting, especially in Born Again. Through various projects such as My Roommate Is a Gumiho, Now, We Are Breaking Up, Atypical Family, Search: WWW, Go Back Couple, and Come and Hug Me, he has established himself as a “romance master” known for his “perfect” performances and is adored by fans worldwide.

The script for Shouldn’t Have Kissed is written by Ha Yoon-ah, known for Ssangappocha and Showtime From Now On!, while the director is Kim Jae-hyun, who co-directed Now, We Are Breaking Up and One Dollar Lawyer.

Jang Ki-yong is also preparing for his new series Pig Pen, which is set to be released next year. Shouldn’t Have Kissed is scheduled to air in 2025.
