KARA Heo Young-ji leaves DSP after 10 years

Kara’s Heo Young-ji is parting ways with the agency she has been with for the past decade.

On the 5th, DSP Media officially announced the conclusion of Heo Young-ji’s exclusive contract. The agency stated, “We would like to inform you that Heo Young-ji’s exclusive contract with us, built on a decade of mutual trust, has ended. We are deeply grateful for the positive energy she has brought both on and off stage, and we will continue to support her as she moves forward with her career.”

The agency also expressed, “We ask that you continue to offer your love and support to Heo Young-ji as she embarks on this new chapter.”

Heo Young-ji first gained recognition as the winner of the 2014 Kara Project, joining Kara as a new member. She made her solo debut in September of last year with the release of ‘Toi Toi Toi’, marking her return to music after nine years. Recently, she celebrated Kara’s 17th anniversary with a successful ‘KARASIA’ concert in Tokyo, Japan.
