On the 26th, Kentaro Sakaguchi and Lee Se-young appeared on the YouTube channel ‘Vogue Korea’.
On this day, Lee Se-young and Sakaguchi Kentaro conducted a TMI quiz after a couple photoshoot. In a question about guessing Lee Se-young’s debut year, Lee Se-young laughed and said, “I wonder how old I am,” and revealed, “At first, I wrote 94. I think he thinks of me as a grandmother.” Kentaro wrote 93, but Lee Se-young debuted in 1997.
Kentaro gave a hint about his favorite Korean food, saying, “I ate it a lot during filming. I want to eat it now. It’s noodles,” but Lee Se-young couldn’t guess the correct answer. The correct answer was kalguksu. Kentaro said, “I still want to eat it.” He then said, “If I can come to Korea and do various things, let’s have a meal together again.” Lee Se-young mentioned Kentaro’s favorite Korean food, saying, “Let’s try Myeongdong Kalguksu.” He then said, “Next time we meet, let’s eat kalguksu during the day, tour around Seoul, and have meat for dinner,” raising expectations for Lee Se-young’s tour.
Lee Se-young revealed that one thing she always does on set is to greet everyone, saying, “It’s the first thing I do every morning when I come to the set.” Lee Se-young asked Kentaro, “Is there something you always do when you go to the set?” and Kentaro replied that he drinks iced coffee.
Lee Se-young said about her first impression of Kentaro, “When I first met him at the production office, he seemed very comfortable. And he was very comfortable.” Kentaro said about Lee Se-young, “At first, I thought he was a comfortable and quiet person, but while filming, I thought he was a really cute person.” He added, “He’s someone who surprisingly expresses himself well. He’s honest and not good at hiding things.” The two of them used a translation app to talk to each other on set. Lee Se-young laughed, saying, “We can only respond in basic terms.”
Lee Se-young said, “I feel sorry and regretful because I think that I am the most unfamiliar with Japanese out of all the male actors I worked with because I am not good at it. And I feel sorry because we spoke informally the whole time we were filming. When I get better at Japanese, I want to joke around and do things.” On the other hand, Kentaro said, “I thought we became really close.” Lee Se-young then said that they would talk about things they would do the next time they met in Seoul and promised to meet again.
The release date of ‘What Comes After Love’ featuring the two is September 27th. When asked about her favorite scene, Lee Se-young said, “I liked the scene where we sat together on the rooftop and looked at the sky and talked. I have a peaceful and good memory of talking and chatting while looking at the sky.” Kentaro said, “I haven’t seen it yet, but I like the scene in the climax when the two are talking on the phone, which makes me want to see it soon.”
Meanwhile, ‘What Comes After Love’ starring Lee Se-young and Sakaguchi Kentaro will be released for the first time on Coupang Play at 8 PM on the 27th. I will also be released on Viki and Viu outside of Korea.
