The sibling rivalry between Kim Jae-joong and Lee Jong-won reached a dramatic climax in the latest episode of the MBN Friday-Saturday miniseries, “Bad Memory Eraser.”
In Episode 12, aired on the 7th, tension escalated as the truth about Kim Jae-joong’s suicide attempt was unveiled through a car’s black box footage.
During this episode, Joo-yeon (played by Jin Se-yeon) discovered that Lee Gun (played by Kim Jae-joong)’s first love was Sae-yan (played by Yang Hye-ji), leading her to avoid him. After Lee Gun regained consciousness following a water incident, he tried to reconnect with Joo-yeon, but Sae-yan was the only one by his side. When Lee Gun finally reached Joo-yeon, she abruptly ended the call, claiming she was busy, while she struggled with her emotions, reflecting on their past happiness.
Joo-yeon also coldly rejected Lee Shin’s (played by Han Jun-woo) feelings. When Lee Shin visited her and referenced their kiss, Joo-yeon asserted that she believed it was a ploy to deceive Lee Gun, making it clear she no longer wished to discuss it. Despite Lee Shin’s confession of his feelings and his insistence that she knew about them, Joo-yeon dismissed his emotions, stating she never looked into his heart and had no interest in his feelings.
In a dramatic turn, Lee Shin grabbed Joo-yeon’s arm as she headed home, witnessed by Lee Gun, who was carrying a drunken Sae-yan. Lee Gun’s jealousy boiled over, and he challenged Lee Shin to a tennis match. During their game, Lee Gun made a pointed remark about Lee Shin’s missing luminous band, causing Lee Shin to become flustered. Following this, Lee Shin burned Lee Gun’s emotional diary, heightening the intrigue surrounding their past.
The episode intensified as Lee Gun, while investigating the incident, discovered a black box in a car near the Han River. His stern expression as he drove away with the footage in hand left viewers eager to know what would come next.
Online reactions have been fervent, with viewers commenting on the drama’s engaging twists, the emotional depth of Joo-yeon’s character, and their curiosity about the identity of the blackmailer. The series continues to captivate its audience with its blend of suspense and romance.
