Netflix has officially announced the release date for Hellbound Season 2, set to premiere on Friday, October 25. Along with the announcement, a thrilling launch trailer has been revealed.
Hellbound made waves in 2021, clinching the Golden Tomatoes award for Best Horror Series and racking up an impressive 110 million viewing hours within just ten days of its debut. The show ranked in the TOP 10 in over 93 countries, earning acclaim from both viewers and critics alike. Season 2 returns to a world plunged into further chaos due to ongoing hell notifications and the unexpected revival of New Truth Society Chairman Jeong Jin-soo and Park Jeong-ja. It also explores the complex dynamics involving lawyer Min Hye-jin, the New Truth Society, and the Arrowhead group.
The newly released trailer highlights the shocking resurrection of Jeong Jin-soo (Kim Sung-cheol), who received a hell notification in Season 1. As the first chairman of the New Truth Society, he misled the public into believing the chaos was a divine message. He discovers that he was given a notice to go to hell 20 years ago, followed by a harrowing demonstration. After this experience, viewers see him facing a hellish lion, howling in flames, as his resurrection raises questions about what lies ahead.
