Lee Bo-young uncovers her husband’s secrets in Hide
by lovepark
What would you do if the person you married turned out to be someone completely different? Coupang Play’s upcoming mystery-thriller Hide poses this question to its lead Lee Bo-young (Agency) in the wake of her husband’s death as the subsequent skeletons start tumbling out of his closet.
The newest trailer opens to a crime scene, and Na Moon-young (Lee Bo-young) asks why her husband Cha Sung-jae, played by Lee Moo-saeng (Maestra – Strings of Truth), died. The official report is suicide since he left behind a note, but Moon-young seems to disagree and starts her own investigation into the circumstances of her husband’s death.
Subornation of perjury, switching victims, money laundering, and hiding a corpse — these are just the beginning of Sung-jae’s list of crimes, and doubt creeps into Moon-young’s mind. Is this truly the same man she knew?

However, as the trailer follows Sung-jae before his untimely end, it depicts a man crying and hiding his face — he looks more like a pawn than a mastermind. Moon-young thinks so, too, and she asks an enigmatic Lee Min-jae (Oh! Young-shim) what he ordered her husband to do.
As Moon-young discovers more mysteries than answers, the trailer shows a glimpse of Lee Chung-ah (My Dearest) as she asks Moon-young if she is all right. She isn’t, of course, since her husband just died and left behind his problems for her to solve. The trailer asks how much will you trust him, and as if answering the question, Moon-young says that there must be another reason and vows to find out what her husband really wanted.
Directed by PD Kim Dong-hwi (The Tale of Nokdu) with scripts penned by Lee Hee-soo, Choi Ah-yul, and Hwang Yoo-jung alongside writer Yoo Bo-ra (Reflection of You) in the creator role, Coupang Play’s Hide premieres March 23 and will air on JTBC in the Saturday-Sunday slot.
