Lee Joon gi, Moon Chae won Heads Cast of “The Flower of Evil”

Lee Joon-gi and Moon Chae-won will be headlining the cast of the upcoming tvN thriller The Flower of Evil.

Lee Joon-gi rose to fame through the film “The King and the Clown”. He has since top billed popular dramas such as My Girl (2005), Arang and the Magistrate (2012), Scholar Who Walks The Night (2015), Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016) and Lawless Lawyer (2018).

Moon Chae-won is young but formidable actress with many acting awards under her belt. In the action blockbuster “War of the Arrows” (2011), she won Best New Actress at the Grand Bell Awards and the Blue Dragon Film Awards. She also starred on the small screen through melodrama “The Innocent Man” (2012) and the Korean remake of the medical drama “Good Doctor” (2013).

The Flower of Evil is a suspense melodrama about a man who hides his cruel past and changes his identity, while his detective wife tracks down his past. It is helmed by PD Kim Cheol-gyoo of works such as “Confession – Drama”, “Mother – Drama” and “Road to the Airport” and written by rookie writer Yoo Jeong-hee.

Lee Joon-gi plays Baek Hee-seong, a devoted and gentle father and husband to his daughter and wife, but a man who has achieved what he has now by lying to his wife. Moon Chae-won plays his wife, Cha Ji-won, who goes through a roller coaster of emotions as she loves her husband dearly, but ends up handcuffing him.

Their pairing is setting high anticipation for this drama. TvN’s The Flower of Evil comes out this year.
