Lee Seo Jin is ringing in the new year with a generous donation!
On January 1, Lee Seo Jin donated 100 million won (approximately $86,600) to the Community Chest of Korea. With his donation, he also became the first person in 2020 to join the organization’s Honor Society, a status awarded to donators who have contributed a high sum of money.
Lee Seo Jin said, “As I have received so much love from the public, I believed that I must be a good influence in society and was thinking about how I could give back to society in any way. That’s when I decided to make the donation and join the Honor Society. I hope I can be of help to people who are hurting, both physically and mentally, and help them find hope.”
Kim Yong Hee, the secretary general of the Community Chest of Korea, stated, “We are grateful to Lee Seo Jin for working with us and becoming the first member of our Honor Society in 2020. We will do our best to make sure that his donation goes to those in need.”
As of January 1, 2020, there are 283 members in the Honor Society who have collectively donated 25.4 billion won (approximately $22 million).
