Actor Lee Soo-hyuk Reveals the Origins of His Deep Voice

On October 10, a new video titled “I’m a Prince and I Do Anything You Tell Me” was uploaded to the YouTube channel “Salon Drip 2.” The guest for this episode was actor Lee Soo-hyuk. During his appearance, Lee Soo-hyuk discussed his unique vocal qualities and how they came to be.

In a conversation with host Jang Do-yeon, Lee Soo-hyuk was asked, “Haven’t you played nearly every type of character, from vampires to grim reapers?” He confirmed this, sharing, “I often wondered why I wasn’t cast in more ordinary roles. I used to work out a lot and spent many years modeling. My early roles were quite distinctive, which might have led people to perceive me as having a cold or aloof image.”

Jang Do-yeon added, “On top of that, your voice is quite deep, which might make you seem even more unapproachable.” Lee Soo-hyuk clarified, “I can speak in a higher pitch if needed, but my natural speaking voice is deep.”

When asked about the origin of his deep voice, Lee Soo-hyuk revealed, “It just changed suddenly one day. I woke up and noticed the difference. Even back in middle school, my voice changed abruptly, and I was often taken aback by how unfamiliar it sounded.” This candid explanation underscores that voice changes can be sudden and surprising rather than gradual.
