Lotte Home Shopping (CEO Kim Jae-gyeom) is set to launch a new show, Today’s Shopping Yurine, featuring multi-talented actress Lee Yu-ri. The program will focus on practical items for housewives in their 30s and 40s, covering categories such as living, food, and beauty.
A representative from Lotte Home Shopping explained, “‘Today’s Shopping Yurine’ combines the sale of popular products among housewives with interactive content, resembling an influencer market format.” The spokesperson added, “Under the slogan ‘Unconditionally advantageous,’ we plan to offer a mix of well-loved home shopping items and trending products discussed in online communities like Mom Cafes, all at competitive prices.”
The show will engage viewers by sharing personal reviews and usage tips from products that Lee Yu-ri has selected and used herself. Airing every Friday at 7:35 PM, the first episode will debut on September 6th. The premiere will feature items such as ‘Ivacum Vacuum Sealed Containers,’ designed to keep food fresh by creating a vacuum-sealed environment, as well as popular holiday products like LA ribs and nut sets in preparation for Chuseok.
This marks Lee Yu-ri’s first time hosting a program under her own name on a TV home shopping channel, despite her 24-year acting career. Her influence was demonstrated when she appeared as a guest on Lotte Home Shopping’s broadcast for the ‘DPC Pink Aura Cushion’ in May, resulting in a 50% increase in orders compared to typical cushion broadcasts. Lee Yu-ri also garnered attention with her ‘Large Capacity Goddess’ nickname for creating a ‘Wangbosha Sandwich’ four times the size of a regular Menbosha on a terrestrial entertainment show. Lotte Home Shopping anticipates that Lee Yu-ri’s exceptional hosting abilities and home management expertise will resonate well with trendy housewives in their 30s and 40s.
