Which one of these weekend dramas are you currently watching?

My personal thoughts- by Jazmine K.

I’ve seen the premiere of “Love (Ft. Marriage And Divorce)” and I am surprised it’s off to such a great start but happy for it. 6% for a cable drama is amazing.

The story sounds a bit similar to other more popular kdramas about wealthy people getting cheated on or divorced, it’ll be interesting to see how it attempts to differentiate itself from all the other dramatic dramas with similar premises. It seems to be the trend these days, wealthy hardworking women being entangled in a mess either created by them or their spouses and the backlash they bring out.

So far, there isn’t a character I particularly feel drawn into since every single one feels a bit too distant but I expect it to improve as time goes by. It’ll be interesting to see if the drama breaks records for TV Chosun.

Mr. Queen” continues to do what it does best; again, mostly present its episode with filler material that can be easily deducted and presented in a more-thrilling manner only to deliver the meat of the story in the last 10 minutes or so.

I must say, the screenwriter has mastered the art of drawing people in with an interesting premise and filling it with as much as filler/unnecessary scenes as possible before giving us the meat of the story at the very end. It’s getting a bit too frustrating at this point especially given the fact that this drama has 7 more episodes to go. 7, 7 guys, 7!!!! I was under the impression that this drama was 16 episodes, not 20.

I feel like this episode probably had the most impact plot-wise because; at last; we could see people actually getting things done. It’s a shame I couldn’t be more invested in the drama, but I am far too deep into it to bail out, in case you’re asking why I still watch it.

The Uncanny Counter” ends today. I enjoyed it for the most part, but I pray to god they don’t butcher the ending, I seriously am praying for them to properly take care of the villain in this season, not extend it for the second season. I don’t like loose ends, I hope they properly wrap this one and start afresh for the second season.

The writing for the 15th episode felt sloppy and some of the characters newly found ‘superpowers’ felt so sudden and weird as if they’re added last minute to add spice up the episode. Nevertheless, I enjoyed Son Ho Jun’s cameo, I missed him so much. I hope he confirms his comeback drama soon.
