Monsta X is a South Korean boy group formed through the reality survival program No Mercy by Starship Entertainment. As of November 2019, the group is composed of six members: Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney and I.M.
The group debuted on May 14, 2015 with their first EP, Trespass. In March 2017, Monsta X released their first studio album and final part of The Clan series, The Clan Pt. 2.5: The Final Chapter. The group had announced a fourth world tour, but it had to be delayed because of COVID-19. Unable to perform at in-person concerts, they participated in the live-streamed KCON event, K:CONTACT 2020. They also announced they would hold a live-streamed concert, “Live From Seoul With Luv.” The concert was initially scheduled for July 25, but was rescheduled to August 8, to allow Shownu to recover from an unexpected surgery he had undergone. They held the event through the streaming platform LiveXLive, and performed several songs from their English-language album, All About Luv, as well as several from their most recent Korean EP, Fantasia X, and several older title tracks. It was an incredible success, drawing millions of fans from all over the world. Besides this, they also performed in the “EVERY ON: WORLDWIDE LIVE ON CONCERT” making monbebes simply overjoyed.
MONSTA X recently released episodes 191 to 194 of ‘Mon Channel’ on the group’s official V-Live channel where the behind the scenes and back story of the online concert are shared over 4 episodes. In the released video, the members of MONSTA X greet Monbebes in different languages for fans around the world, and express their affection for MONBEBE with sweet voices by singing a love song that they wanted to convey to fans. In addition, they revealed their warm-hearted appearance in the practice room and conveyed the current situation during their hiatus after completing the title ‘FANTASIA’ of ‘FANTASIA X’ in June.
The members who went on a full-scale rehearsal on the stage smiled brightly and felt incredibly motivated when the pre-recorded fans’ shouts came out along with the song ‘Shoot Out’. They said, “We have a concert, but it’s difficult because we have no fans here. When the fans come in, I will definitely be empowered.” The members expressed regret for not being able to meet the fans in person. “We want to perform in the presence of fans as soon as possible,” they expressed their affection for the fans.
In “Every On Concert,” MONSTA X monitored the stage of their junior group, Cravity, and showed a wonderful relationship welcoming them brightly after the rehearsal.
