The love triangle involving Moon Sang-min, Lee Hyun-woo, and Shin Hyun-bin has officially ignited. In the 6th episode of Channel A’s weekend drama ‘Cinderella at 2 AM,’ which aired on September 8th, Lee Hyun-woo (played by Lee Sung-min) ramped up his romantic pursuit of Ha Yoon-seo (Shin Hyun-bin), sparking intense feelings in Seo Joo-won (Moon Sang-min).
Despite Seo Joo-won’s attempt to regain his composure with advice from his older brother, Seo Si-won (Yoon Park)—“Don’t cling to a relationship that’s over; just focus on your work”—he found himself increasingly agitated by Sung-min’s advances towards Yoon-seo. Joo-won began to keep a close watch on Sung-min, growing anxious over the missed dinner he had to skip because of a business trip.
Si-won, seeing his brother’s turmoil, decided to support him and showed heartfelt brotherly affection. To emphasize his support, Si-won arranged for Joo-won to be flown from Jeju to Seoul by helicopter for the dinner. Upon arrival, Joo-won engaged in a full-blown confrontation with Sung-min. Unable to bear the sight of the two men drinking excessively, Yoon-seo attempted to mediate by downing the remaining whiskey, but ended up with everyone thoroughly inebriated. The aftermath left Yoon-seo and Joo-won dealing with the awkwardness of their drunken state.
Despite Sung-min’s persistent expressions of affection, Yoon-seo remained unimpressed, feeling that his interest was insincere. Struggling to balance her professional and personal life, Yoon-seo eventually erupted in frustration, delivering a harsh rebuke to Sung-min. When a sensitive issue about Sung-min’s family history surfaced, Yoon-seo rushed to find him. During their meeting, Sung-min, previously playful, opened up about his strained relationship with his biological father. His candid revelation, including a mistakenly sent text, touched Yoon-seo deeply. As she offered words of comfort, “You’ve worked hard” and “You’re doing well,” Joo-won watched with growing jealousy. This moment marked the beginning of a fiery love triangle.
