Shin Mina, Park Hae-soo

  • A new crime-thriller called Ill-Fated Relationship (roughly translated) is in the works with offers out to Shin Mina (Our Blues) and Park Hae-soo (Narco-Saints). Still in the early stages, the webtoon adaptation is planning to create an omnibus-style series consisting of six stories, with filmmaker Lee Il-hyung (Remember, A Violent Prosecutor) taking the reins as both writer and director.   • Uhm Jung-hwa (Doctor Cha) is considering a meatier role for her next project as well, and is currently in talks to headline KBS’s new suspense series The Wife. The story was selected from KBS’s 2022 writing contest, and the original writer Jung Ryeo-joo will be penning the scripts for the drama series as well. Production is still in the planning stages.   • Speaking of KBS, a new poster has dropped for the upcoming Hyo-shim’s Independent Life, showcasing our bickering main leads: UEE (Ghost Doctor) and Ha Joon (Destined With You). Written by Jo Jung-sun (Mother of Mine) with PD Kim Hyung-il (The King of Tears, Lee Bang-won) at the helm, the weekender will be launching on September 16. [News1]
  • Over on Disney+, more promos have come out for Han River Police and if the new teaser is anything to go by, it’s looking more and more like a perfect popcorn affair. Fingers-crossed! Starring Kwon Sang-woo (Curtain Call), Kim Hee-won (Behind Your Touch), and Lee Sang-yi (Bloodhounds) among others, the action-comedy will be coming to our screens on September 13.[SpoTV News]

  • ENA released a new long teaser for Day of Kidnapping, revealing more about our quasi-kidnapper Yoon Kye-sang (Kiss Sixth Sense) and how he actually came to meet the young Yoo-na (Green Mothers’ Club).
