- With our trio moving to the big city of Hanyang, it’s time for tvN’s Poong the Joseon Psychiatrist to reckon with his past. The second season’s newest teaser introduces an old rival – as well as a first love that Kim Min-jae (Dal-li and Gamjatang) failed to mention to a wary Kim Hyang-gi (A Moment at Eighteen). Along with their trusted mentor Kim Sang-kyung (Racket Boys), the comedy sageuk will be returning to our screens on January 11. [Sports Donga (1), (2)]
- A new teaser has dropped for TVING’s Island as well, revealing a little more back story for our supernatural hero Kim Nam-gil (Through the Darkness). Also starring Lee Da-hee (Love is for Suckers), Cha Eun-woo (True Beauty), and Sung Joon (Perfect Wife), the fantasy-action will be launching this month on December 30. [Sports Chosun]
- Over on JTBC, Lee Bo-young (Mine) demands our attention in the latest poster for Agency, as she readies herself for battle against Jo Sung-ha (Adamas) and Sohn Na-eun (Ghost Doctor). The last (wo)man standing will sit on the corporate throne and we can salute our allegiance when the office war breaks out on January 7. [News1]
- In the meantime, JTBC is pulling our hearts into four different directions with their new character posters for The Interest of Love, entangling us in the love square between Yoo Yeon-seok (Narco-Saints), Moon Ga-young (Link: Eat, Love, Kill), Geum Sae-rok (Youth of May), and Jung Ga-ram (Love Alarm 2). The romance releases next week on December 21. [News1]
- The official trailer is out for SBS’s Trolley, showcasing our story’s main players: Kim Hyun-joo (Hellbound), Park Hee-soon (A Model Family), and Kim Mu-yeol (Juvenile Justice) in addition to Jung Soo-bin (Revenge of Others) and Ryu Hyun-kyung (Cheer Up). - Lightening the mood, KBS’s Brain Cooperation came out with a new teaser as well, featuring our motley quartet: Jung Yong-hwa (Sell Your Haunted House), Cha Tae-hyun (Police University), Kwak Sun-young (Behind Every Star), and Yeh Ji-won (So Do Sol Sol La La Sol). The action-comedy will be starting their investigations on January 2. [News1]
- The long-awaited stills of Park Hoon (Big Mouth) have arrived, rounding out the main foursome in SBS’s Payback, together with Lee Seon-kyun (Dr. Brain), Moon Chae-won (Flower of Evil), and Kang Yoo-seok (I Haven’t Done My Best Yet). Premiering next month on January 6, the revenge drama will have Lee Won-tae (The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil) directing with scripts by Kim Won-seok (Man to Man). [Newsen]
