Park Hae-jin, Park Sung-woong, Im Ji-yeon

SBS is lining up a new thriller called National Death Penalty Vote (literal translation), reuniting Park Hae-jin (Showtime Begins) and Park Sung-woong (Unlock the Boss) – who are joined this time by Im Ji-yeon (The Glory). The webtoon adaptation will be broadcasting in 2023 with Jo Yoon-young writing and PD Park Shin-woo at the helm. [News1]

Jo Jung-seok (Hospital Playlist 2) and Shin Se-kyung (Run On) are both considering offers for a new sageuk called Sejak (romanized title), written by Kim Sun-deok (The Crowned Clown). If they accept, the historical fiction will have Jo playing King Lee In who becomes entangled in a cruel love story with Shin’s character, Kang Hee-soo. The drama is still in the planning stages and hopes to start filming in the spring. [Dispatch]
In the meantime, tvN’s fictional sageuk Our Blooming Youth released their first poster, showcasing our story’s cursed crown prince Park Hyung-shik (Soundtrack #1). With Jeon So-ni (Dr. Brain) playing our wronged heroine, the romance premieres on February 6 with production led by writer Jung Hyun-jung (Romance Is a Bonus Book) and PD Lee Jong-jae (Psychopath Diary, 100 Days My Prince). Also upcoming on tvN is a suspense-thriller called House with a Yard, which has Kim Tae-hee (Hi Bye, Mama!) making her drama comeback after three years. Based on a novel by the same title, filming for the drama has already begun with PD Jung Ji-hyun (Twenty Five Twenty One, Search Query: WWW) as the talent behind the camera. [Xports News]
Rain (Ghost Doctor) has started work on a new drama as well, opposite Kim Haneul (Kill Heel). The action melodrama She (working title) will have scripts by Choi Yoon-jung (Only Love) with PD Park Hong-kyun (Hwayugi) directing. [News1 (1), (2)]

It’s a dreamy, snowy day in the newest poster for MBC’s Kokdu: Season of Deity (previously Kkokdu’s Season), featuring our embracing leads Kim Jung-hyun (Mr. Queen) and Im Soo-hyang (Doctor Lawyer). Also starring Dasom (Was It Love) and Ahn Woo-yeon (Young Lady and Gentleman), the fantasy romance is slated to premiere on January 27, following The Forbidden Marriage in the Friday-Saturday slot. Over on JTBC, a big batch of character posters and teasers have been dropping for the upcoming Agency, featuring the main cast: Lee Bo-young (Mine), Jo Sung-ha (Adamas), Sohn Na-eun (Ghost Doctor), Han Joon-woo (The Empire), and Jeon Hye-jin (My Liberation Notes).
