- The promos continue for KBS’s My Lovely Boxer, this time releasing character posters of our main cast: Lee Sang-yub (Eve), Kim So-hye (How to Buy a Friend), Park Ji-hwan (Our Blues), and Kim Jin-woo (Love for a Thousand More) among others. Slated to air on August 21, the sports drama is set to follow Heartbeat in the Monday-Tuesday slot. [KBS]
- New stills have dropped for Netflix’s upcoming Mask Girl, featuring the black comedy’s mother-son duo: Yeom Hye-ran (The Glory) and Ahn Jae-hong (Be Melodramatic). With Go Hyun-jung (Reflection of You) and Nana (Glitch) co-playing the central role – along with a ~mysteriously~ unknown rookie actress – the suspense-thriller will be launching in just a few weeks on August 18. - Jung Eun-ji (Work Later, Drink Now 2), Lee Jung-eun (Missing: The Other Side 2), and Choi Jin-hyuk (Numbers) have reportedly been cast in a new fantasy rom-com called The Woman Who Is Different by Day and Night (roughly translated). PD Lee Hyung-min (Showtime Begins, Strong Woman Do Bong-soon) is attached to direct with scripts penned by Park Ji-ha (Good Casting). [Star News]
- With The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch kicking off this past weekend, Jo Byung-kyu is reviewing offers for his next project and may be heading to Joseon in A Bird’s Eye (roughly translated). The romance is still in the planning stages with Kim Mi-hui writing and PD Noh Jong-chan (IDOL: The Coup, Cruel Palace – War of the Flowers) at the helm. [Sedaily]
- A new poster has come out for SBS’s The Killing Vote, showcasing our crime-thriller’s leads, Park Sung-woong (Bloodhounds), Im Ji-yeon (Lies Hidden in My Garden), and Park Hae-jin (Showtime Begins). Coming to our screens on August 10, the series will be broadcasting in SBS’s new Thursday slot. [Sports Chosun]
- Over on JTBC, more stills have been released of our bickering duo Han Ji-min (Yonder) and Lee Min-ki (My Liberation Notes) in the upcoming Behind Your Touch. The fantasy rom-com also stars Suho (Rich Man) and will be taking over the weekend slot after King the Land, premiering on August 12. [News1]
