  • The newly christened Serendipity’s Embrace (previously Is It a Coincidence) has confirmed their air date on tvN, broadcasting in the Monday-Tuesday slot starting July 22 next month. Headlined by Kim So-hyun (My Lovely Liar), Chae Jong-hyeop (Castaway Diva, Eye Love You), Yoon Ji-on (My Lovely Liar), and Dasom (Kokdu: Season of Deity) as our main quartet, the rom-com and webtoon adaptation has PD Song Hyun-wook (The Midnight Studio) at the helm with scripts by Park Geu-ro. • Jo Yi-hyun (The Matchmakers) is reviewing an offer for a new romance called Because Oppa’s House is Empty (roughly translated), based on a popular webnovel and webtoon by the same title. Still in the early stages, Jo is up to play a third-generation chaebol, somehow getting entangled in a pearl-clutching co-habitation scandal with her bestie’s older brother. He is of course our title’s “Oppa” who just so happens to be a top star film actor. [Xports News]
  • MBC’s upcoming I Don’t Like Donkatsu came out with a new poster, with our village head Jung Sang-hoon (Twinkling Watermelon) begging for some privacy in their close-knit but oh-so-nosy community. Come July 5, the two-episode comedy will follow a busy week for gossip in their little town as our characters face a circumcision, vasectomy, and dog neutering in a triple whammy of coinciding events. • Over on tvN, The Auditors team is busy on the chase for office baddies in the newest teaser, with Shin Ha-kyun (Evilive), Lee Jung-ha (Moving), and Jo Ah-ram (Doctor Cha) standing against company vice president Jin Gu (Shadow Detective). The office-comedy is slated to premiere on July 6, airing weekends following The Midnight Romance in Hagwon. [Newsen]
  • SBS’s legal drama Good Partner released a new teaser as well, showcasing our rookie lawyer Nam Ji-hyun (High Cookie) as she unexpectedly finds herself working in divorce cases under the sharp-tonged Jang Nara (My Happy Ending). Along with fellow attorneys Kim Joon-han (Anna) and Pyo Ji-hoon (Mouse), the series will be launching on July 12. [News]
  • The promos continue on Disney+ with new stills for Red Swan, with Kim Haneul (Nothing Uncovered) under pressure from her chaebol mother-in-law Seo Yi-sook (Knight Flower). Also starring Rain (Ghost Doctor), Jung Kyeo-woon (You’re Too Much), Yoon Je-moon (Nothing Uncovered), and Ki Eun-se (Now We Are Breaking Up) in an ensemble cast, the action-melo will be coming to our screens on July 3.
