Lee Sang-yi was furious upon discovering that his father’s illegitimate child was Kim Young-dae. He quickly issued a standby order, dismissed Shin Min-ah from her position, and threatened Young-dae to “leave Korea right now.”
In the latest episode of the tvN drama No Gain No Love, which aired on the 23rd, Nam Ja-yeon (Han Ji-hyun) visited an orphanage, secretly watching Bok Kyu-hyun (Lee Sang-yi) joyfully playing soccer with the children. When Ja-yeon learned that the malicious comment she had sued over was not from Kyu-hyun but from Yeo Ha-jun (Lee Yoo-jin), she asked, “Do you like me?” Kyu-hyun confessed, “I’m sorry. I know I’m not qualified, but I like you, Ms. Writer.”
Ja-yeon replied, “Things like in novels really happen. Two people who meet through bad fate can fall in love.” However, she quickly turned away, saying, “There is no happy ending for me.” When Kyu-hyun called her by her pen name, Yeo Ha-jun realized that Ja-yeon was the writer Yeon Bo-ra. After giving her a ride home, Kyu-hyun suggested, “How about a CEO I know? It might help you write your stories,” but she declined. A call from his mother, Seon-jeong-ah (Lee Il-hwa), surprised him, leading him to knock on Son Hae-young’s (Shin Min-ah) door.
Inside, Kim Ji-wook (Kim Young-dae) and Son Hae-young were about to share a kiss when Bok Kyu-hyun burst in, demanding, “Are you really the hidden son of our father, Chairman Bok Gi-ho (Choi Jin-ho)?” He continued, “You dare to aim for my position right in front of me? You both know it all.”
Ji-wook apologized to Hae-young, but she pressed him to examine his feelings. “I feel a little bad. When I met my father at the hotel, you were alone. Can you tell me how you were?” Ji-wook admitted, “I wanted to be helpful, but I’m scared I’ll hurt you.” Hae-young responded, “Now that we’re on the same side, aren’t you scared? There are no more secrets,” and kissed him.
Ji-wook expressed his concerns about the pain of being born into this situation, saying, “I don’t want to do it twice.” He prepared to resign from work, but when they arrived, they discovered personnel orders for both a dismissal and a standby order.
An upset Ji-wook called Bok Kyu-hyun, stating, “I have something to tell you about my family relationship. Team leader Son Hae-young and I got divorced. Son Hae-young is no longer in my family,” attempting to protect Hae-young from further harm.
Kyu-hyun retaliated, threatening, “You are a walking owner risk. Quietly go abroad and don’t come back, ever. If you don’t, I will repay you several times over for the pain my mother and I have suffered… to the person you want to protect.”
Meanwhile, Cha Hee-sung (Joo Min-kyung), entangled in a complicated relationship, found herself suddenly pregnant. Nam Ja-yeon remarked, “Teacher is a good person. But don’t we know what kind of hell unprepared parents create?” After an encounter with her abusive father, Ja-yeon sought a new place to live. Son Hae-young went on a business trip to revamp a poorly performing local store, with Ji-wook following her.
Ji-wook tried to enjoy his time with Hae-young, recalling Kyu-hyun’s earlier threats. While at the observatory, Hae-young shared, “After my father passed away, I left home right away and didn’t live with him. If I had lived with him then, would my mother not have gotten dementia? I wonder how my mother managed while I was gone.” Ji-wook replied, “I guess we’ll never know.”
On her way home, Hae-young received a text about Ja-yeon’s father being released on parole and was startled to run into Ja-yeon. The man she pushed away at Ja-yeon’s scream was Bok Kyu-hyun.
The trailer for the next episode revealed that Ja-yeon and Kyu-hyun had started dating, while Hae-young opposed the relationship due to Ja-yeon’s connection to a malicious commenter. After much contemplation, Ji-wook informed Hae-young that he was leaving, prompting her to hold back tears.
