Offering a wish come true in High Cookie teaser
by tccolb
A new batch of promos have been dished out for U+ Mobile TV’s High Cookie, giving us another bite of the fantasy-thriller’s four leads in the newest stills and character teaser.
Graciously greeting their Hansel and Gretel audience, the teaser opens its door with smiling cookies in hand and our robot host explains in voiceover that these were created just for us. How special. Not suspicious in the least. But our factory worker Nam Ji-hyun (Little Women) is of course very alarmed, having already been taught by the brunt of life’s harsh realities to be wary of things too good to be true.

But the impressionable students are less resistant to the tasty promise of sweet wishes come true and the high school is soon overrun by the resulting cookie monsters. Although we don’t yet know how they become involved, the mess draws in students Seo Ho-soo and Choi Min-young as well, who are played by Choi Hyun-wook (Twinkling Watermelon) and Jung Da-bin (Glitch) respectively.
The latter, in particular, is a personal concern for our heroine Choi Soo-young (Nam Ji-hyun), as Min-young is her younger sister and the only family she has. Even if it means jumping into the sticky batter herself, Soo-young is determined to rescue and protect her. Amidst all this, we can’t forget the ~mysterious~ Kim Mu-yeol (Trolley) who seems to have been keeping an eye on all the baking as the school’s admissions consultant Yoo Sung-pil.
Written by Kang Han (Silence of the Lambs) with PD Song Min-yeop (Youth of May, Doctor Prisoner) at the helm, High Cookie will be launching on LG’s U+ Mobile TV in two weeks time, premiering October 23.
