Park Min-young gets into multiple contract marriages in Love in Contract

Lovers of contract marriages and Park Min-young in businesswear, unite! Park Min-young (Forecasting Love and Weather) has returned to bless us with another rom-com in tvN’s upcoming drama, Love in Contract.

Park Min-young plays Choi Sang-eun, a contract marriage master. When men are in a bind and need someone to marry them juuust long enough to get their nosy parents off their back, she’s the one they call. With her many talents and dash of crackhead energy, she transforms into the perfect fake wife for any client, allowing them to have their freedom just as long as it’s on a strictly part-time basis.

One of her longtime clients is Jung Ji-ho — played by Go Kyung-po (Private Lives) — who for the last five years has claimed her Mon-Wed-Fri “contract husband” slot. We don’t know much about him other than the fact that he’s a man of mystery who would prefer to keep it that way — but the two have a solid working relationship. That is, until Sang-eun picks up a new client for her Tue-Thur-Sat slot, the charming chaebol Hallyu star Kang Hae-jin, played by Kim Jae-young (Reflection of You). With the two men vying for her, ahem, professional attention, she’ll juggle work, hearts, and everything in between.

Supporting cast includes Jin Kyung (Extraordinary Attorney Woo), Kang Hyung-seok (Lost), and Park Chul-min (The Killer’s Shopping List), among others.

Our first teaser shows Sang-eun smiling brightly as a bride at a wedding as she says in the voiceover, “I’m… getting married.” Doesn’t tell us much, but it does offer some great eye candy and further cements my trust in Park Min-young’s ability to carry another rom-com — and inspire my closet.

Written by Ha Gu-dam and directed by Nam Sung-woo (My Roommate Is a Gumiho), Love in Contract will premiere September 21 on tvN in the Wednesday-Thursday slot.
