Restarting the badminton dream with Park Joo-hyun, Chae Jong-hyeop in Love All Play

In a final round of promos before its premiere this week, we get another peek at the sports-romance story to come for KBS’s Love All Play. Our main athletes, Park Joo-hyun (Mouse) and Chae Jong-hyeop (The Witch’s Diner) are both talented at badminton. But while Park sees sports as her life and blood, Chae treats it like just a job he’s been assigned to do.

Strangely enough, it is the passionate Park Joo-hyun who unexpectedly retired from badminton three years ago without explanation. And now, just as suddenly, she has returned. Due to her time away, Park has a big hill to climb if she wants to catch up to her peers and deal with the rumors surrounding her mysterious disappearance. But Chae Jong-hyeop is moved by Park’s dedication and it pushes him to see that maybe badminton always was more to him than just a job.

One person who does know what happened three years ago is fellow badminton player Kim Mu-joon (Nevertheless). He isn’t happy about Park Joo-hyun’s return and the two have a tense encounter in the new stills. Thankfully, Park gets a warm welcome from Kim Hyun-joo (Hellbound), who makes a special guest appearance in the drama as the badminton team’s CEO.

Directed by PD Jo Woong with scripts penned by Heo Sung-hye, KBS drama Love All Play premieres this Wednesday on April 20.
