Choi Hyun-min has confessed to taking the blame for the murders of Choi Jin-hyeok and Ha Eun-ju.
In the latest episode of KBS 2TV’s Wednesday-Thursday drama A Perfect Family, Choi Sun-hee (Park Joo-hyun), who was abducted by Choi Hyun-min (Yoon Sang-hyun) after he set fire to her house, awakens in a secluded warehouse. Hyun-min reveals that he is Sun-hee’s biological father, stating, “I will tell you who set fire to Kyung-ho’s house, who killed Kyung-ho, and who tried to kill Soo-yeon.”
Hyun-min further discloses, “You are the child I said was taken away,” but is taken aback by Sun-hee’s lack of visible shock. Sun-hee responds, “I suspected it might be true,” and shares that she had vague recollections of her childhood with her father during their previous meetings.
Hyun-min, eager to explain the truth, tells Sun-hee, “Those people found you at the orphanage and brought you there intentionally.” He reveals that Jin-hyeok and Eun-ju killed their own son and used Sun-hee as a pawn to pin the crime on him.
Detective Shin Dong-ho (Kim Do-hyun), who oversaw the funeral of detective Lee Seong-woo (Kim Myung-soo), who was murdered by Hyun-min, visits Choi Jin-hyeok (Kim Byung-chul) and Ha Eun-joo (Yoon Se-ah) to apologize for their wrongful arrest as suspects. Dong-ho vows, “I will definitely find Seon-hee,” and announces a public search for Lee Soo-yeon.
He also shares circumstantial evidence suggesting that Soo-yeon must have had an accomplice, as it would have been impossible for Soo-yeon to have killed Seong-woo and swiftly disappeared with Choi Seon-hee on her own. Jin-hyeok counters, “Soo-yeon is not the culprit. Seon-hee will be safe,” leaving Dong-ho puzzled.
