Hyun Bin is a South Korean actor. Hyun Bin was born in Jamsil-dong, Seoul, South Korea. His real name is Kim Tae-Pyung. He graduated from Chung-Ang University in 2004 and majored in Theater Studies.

In 2003, Hyun-Bin made his acting debut in the KBS drama “Bodyguard”. His first role was only a minor character. He played a stalker of Han Shin-Ae (played by Lee Se-Eun). In the same year, Hyun-Bin was also cast for the MBC drama “Nonstop 4,” which was quite popular. Through his work in “Nonstop 4,” Hyun-Bin was able to improve upon his comedic timing.

Hyun Bin eventually became very popular with female drama viewers and he landed “My Name Is Kim Sam-soon” which became a highly successful drama. His projects afterwards, however, were not as highly rated. His return in rom-com thru “Secret Garden” was well received by the audience.

After his military service, it took him a while before choosing his next projects. However, his dramas and film didn’t do well. It was only after he set up his own agency, VAST Entertainment, in 2016 that his projects really take off.
