Taxi Driver 2 releases rad 80s animated teaser

Whether you’re a child of the 80s or just a fan of the aesthetic, SBS’s Taxi Driver 2 has recently released a new animated/illustrated teaser that makes me feel like I’m watching Blade Runner or Max Headroom. And that is not a bad thing.
Following the success of 2021’s Taxi Driver, our crew is back for more vigilante justice, served fresh out of their deluxe taxi. Our original cast also returns, with Lee Je-hoon (Move to Heaven) reprising his lead role along with the rest of the Rainbow Taxi Company crew: Kim Eui-sung (Under the Queen’s Umbrella) as the CEO, Pyo Ye-jin (VIP) as the IT whiz, and Jang Hyuk-jin (Now, We Are Breaking Up) and Bae Yoo-ram (Moonshine) as our mechanics. Sadly, Esom does not return, but don’t worry, there’s Shin Jae-ha (My Unfamiliar Family). His career deserves to pop, so it’s all good.

As mentioned above, the new teaser is high on vibes, and perfectly fits the drama’s tone. In it, we see the inside of Deluxe Taxi 5283, the now-famous tape deck, our crew walking through the taxi yard, and some flashes of the cityscape and fight sequences. The teaser closes with Lee Je-hoon looking out his rear view mirror (at us!?), and then shifting into drive and taking off out of the yard with the ever-essential figure eight.
Taxi Driver 2 premieres on SBS on February 17 in the Friday-Saturday, following Payback.
