The Judge from Hell kdrama – Episode 5 Recap and Spoilers.

In episode 5 of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama The Judge from Hell, which aired on the 4th, Kang Bit-na (Park Shin-hye) was depicted trying to execute Yang Seung-bin (Yang Kyung-won), who had murdered his family and exhibited multiple personalities, but Han Da-on (Kim Jae-young) intervened.

According to viewership ratings research company Nielsen Korea on October 5, the 5th episode of The Judge from Hell recorded a nationwide rating of 9.3% and 9.2% in the metropolitan area, taking first place among Friday-Saturday dramas. The peak viewership rating soared to a remarkable 13.1%. The 2049 viewership rating showed overwhelming momentum, breaking its own record at 3.5%.

On that day, Yang Seung-bin called the police with a trembling voice, saying, “Please save my wife, my son, and my daughter.” Distressed, he told the police who had arrived at his house, “My child is not breathing. They are all dead.”

He sobbed, pleading, “Please catch the culprit quickly. They are still warm like this. They must not have gone far,” before suddenly changing his expression and saying, “I think I know who killed them.”

When the police asked, “Is there anyone you suspect?” Yang Seung-bin answered, “Me,” with a creepy smile.

At the police station, Yang Seung-bin claimed he had never killed his family and felt wronged. Although there were fingerprints on the weapon and he had even confessed, Yang Seung-bin insisted, “I never really killed them,” adding, “I called my teenage son to the living room to talk to him, but I don’t remember anything after that,” and sobbed again.

Yang Seung-bin switched between the personalities of himself, his young child Kim Seo-yool, and his friend Gu Do-wan. He claimed that the one who murdered the family was not Yang Seung-bin, but another persona, Gu Do-wan. The police were confused, unable to tell if his behavior was an act or genuine.

However, Han Da-on suspected that Yang Seung-bin was feigning multiple personalities. While investigating, she intentionally gave the wrong name for another personality, but Yang Seung-bin, claiming ignorance, corrected her and spoke the name.

Kang Bit-na also learned about Yang Seung-bin’s case through Gu Man-do (Kim In-kwon). Gu Man-do said, “It seems like something happened while he was unconscious. Can I kill him?” Kang Bit-na replied, “It doesn’t change the fact that he’s a murderer,” and took charge of Yang Seung-bin’s trial.

In the courtroom, Yang Seung-bin revealed his multiple personalities. He suddenly and violently assaulted the lawyer who kept interrupting him, shouting at Kang Bit-na, “Judge, did you see? Do you want to die too?”

Kang Bit-na responded, “I’ll request a detailed examination to determine Yang Seung-bin’s mental state,” and sent him to the hospital. Later, she visited Yang Seung-bin at the hospital at midnight.

Kang Bit-na attempted to punish Yang Seung-bin in her own way. But at that moment, someone grabbed her ankle from under the hospital bed where Yang Seung-bin was lying, and it was none other than Han Da-on.
