Popular SBS Drama “Penthouse” is considered one of the biggest Korean dramas of 2020, with rating surpassing 20%, it has become one of the very few kdramas to have performed so well in 2020.
The storyline of “Penthouse” has made it a hot topic among netizens, coupled with the actors’ stellar performances, “Penthouse” managed to cement itself as one of the best of 2020.
Recently, netizens began to discuss the actors who turned down/passed on offers to star in the hit SBS drama. Since it has become massively popular, many are talking about the actors who passed on roles in the drama and how they’re probably regretting it.
The first name that came up on the list was Shin Sung Rok who originally signed on to play the role of the male lead Joo Dan Tae; he accepted the offer at first in early 2020, but later dropped out due to scheduling issues.
Oh Man Suk was offered the role of Ha Yoon Chul, while Ha Suk Jin was offered the role of Logan Lee. The role of Logan Lee ultimately ended up going to Park Eun Seok who is currently enjoying a boost in popularity due to his portrayal of the character, despite playing a supporting role; Park Eun Seok has topped rankings for the most talked-about actors in South Korea.
Kang Tae Oh and Jung Da Bin were also offered roles in the drama but the exact roles they were offered haven’t been revealed.
Penthouse is currently airing every Monday and Tuesday on SBS.
