Top 5 Kpop MVs: A Sad Kind of Happy

Do I need to say anything besides IU AND SUGA HAD A COLLABORATION!!! Maybe I do — I also loved other songs that have debuted lately, and they’ve covered an interesting range of emotions — happy, sad, and a sad kind of happy. Bet you can’t guess which one I’m most excited about, though. Read on to see what other music has grabbed my attention, and whatever you do, DON’T miss out on the bonus track!

IU & Suga — “eight”

I am loving this combination — IU and Suga’s styles blend amazingly well, just like the different styles of the video. It’s a treat to watch, and the song is perfect to blast with the windows rolled down, even if the lyrics are more of a beautiful goodbye.

2Z/Tuzi — “Doctor”

My favorite high schoolers just debuted their second mini album! Nostrum has three great tracks and a highly visual MV for “Doctor”. Enjoy!

Taeyeon – “Happy”

I’m loving the doo wop vibe of this song, and it’s reflected in the MV — can we call it upbeat retro? Either way, it’s smooth and uplifting and I’m liking it!

Noir – “Lucifer”

This is nothing like SHINee’s “Lucifer”, but the simple color scheme of the MV is dramatic and mesmerizing. Noir’s sound is definitely maturing — come check it out!

JongHo from ATEEZ — JJOST #1

The members of ATEEZ are pursuing individual activities, and the maknae JongHo is doing covers of his favorite OSTs. Enjoy this cover of “Here I Am Again” from Crash Landing On You in his strong, clear voice. (It’s also lovely to know that he’s a drama fan too!)

BONUS TRACK: K-Tigers on Immortal Songs 2

YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS PERFORMANCE! What an amazing blend of trot, kpop, and taekwondo — I loved every single second of it. And if the reactions are anything to go by, the audience did to. I love K-Tigers!

That K-Tiger performance absolutely blew me away. What’s impressed you lately, k-fans? Drop down in the comments and let me know!
