SBS’s “Lovers of the Red Sky” released a new making-of video!
“Lovers of the Red Sky” is a fantasy historical drama about the world of humans caught between demons, evil forces, and gods. Kim Yoo Jung stars as Hong Chun Gi, the Joseon Dynasty’s only female painter, and Ahn Hyo Seop stars as Ha Ram, a blind astrologer.
The new making-of video begins with Hong Jin Ki and Kim Yoo Jung showcasing great chemistry on set. Kim Yoo Jung has to hit his head multiple times in order to get the scene right, but Hong Jin Ki reassures her that it doesn’t hurt. Seeing Hong Kyung’s hand warmer, Hong Jin Ki asks, “Are you trying to make us jealous?” Hong Kyung kindly offers the hand warmer to Hong Jin Ki, who uses it for his forehead.
Kim Yoo Jung and Ahn Hyo Seop begin to film their romantic scene together inside the sedan chair. However, as Ahn Hyo Seop is reciting his lines, he gets interrupted by Siri. Kim Yoo Jung practices falling on top of Ahn Hyo Seop but ends up having to use her knee. She comments, “Ow, my knee.” Ahn Hyo Seop asks, “Are you okay?” and Kim Yoo Jung playfully replies, “I’m not okay.” She and the director get the idea to use a cushion on the floor to save her knee.
The director asks how Ahn Hyo Seop’s position will be after Kim Yoo Jung falls, and he replies, “I think I can hold on well.” The director worries that he’ll fall back, and someone else comments that he can come back up again after falling. Ahn Hyo Seop asks, “Am I the only one saying it’ll be okay?”
While monitoring the scene, Kim Yoo Jung laughs and comments, “I straight up just hugged him.” The director tells her to lift her hands higher as she falls, but Kim Yoo Jung explains that it’ll look too much like she’s cheering. Eventually, they get the right angle and the director expresses satisfaction with the pose Kim Yoo Jung picked in the beginning. While still hugging, Ahn Hyo Seop shares, “It’s comfortable.” Kim Yoo Jung replies, “Thank you. I’m uncomfortable.” Ahn Hyo Seop asks, “Really?” but the actress shares that she’s only joking and that she’s comfortable as well.
Ahn Hyo Seop gets flustered when the director asks him how he’s going to film the closeup scene of his heart beating after Kim Yoo Jung falls on him. Kim Yoo Jung laughs as Ahn Hyo Seop pretends to make his chest look as if it’s pounding with exaggerated movements. He shares, “I’ll try to move it about 0.5 centimeters (approximately 0.2 inches).” Kim Yoo Jung asks, “Really? While my face is attached?”
