Yeo Jin-gu, Moon Ga-young become bonded by a Link

tvN’s new fantasy-romance Link: Eat and Love, to Kill has been gearing up for its premiere next month, releasing a new video teaser along with stills from the drama’s first script reading.
The story involves a strange “link” phenomenon that re-appears for the first time in 18 years, manifesting between chef Yeo Jin-gu (Beyond Evil) and temp worker Moon Ga-young (True Beauty). Despite being strangers who have never met, the two suddenly find their emotions in sync – allowing each to feel what the other is feeling at any moment.

The new teaser begins with the drama’s definition of link: “a phenomenon in which one becomes connected to another’s emotions. Example: becoming linked to a strange woman’s emotions.” Yeo Jin-gu then tries to explain what it is using illustrations, “Let me explain. A cellphone can be connected to the WiFi, right? The cellphone can also have a two-way connection with a computer. It’s like that.”
We then cut back and forth between Moon Ga-young and Yeo Jin-gu as they flip-flop through waves of sadness and happiness. In one shot, Yeo even gets tearful while serving a customer, and the waiter has to drag him away as Yeo cries, “I really hope you enjoy the food. Everyone…” In another cut, Yeo Jin-gu continues his explanation of the link: “The situation and emotions you’re in get shared between the two parties.”
The teaser comes to a close with Moon Ga-young and Yeo Jin-gu finally meeting in person, and Yeo thoughtfully wonders, “Is it maybe this woman?” Moon, on the other hand, isn’t pleased to see Yeo and gets straight to the point: “Whatever. If you send me one more weird thing or show up in my vicinity again, I can report you and make sure that you get a criminal record for it!”
Though we don’t see much of the rest of the cast in this teaser, we can look forward to Constable Song Deok-ho (Tracer) and Sergeant Lee Bom-sori (Justice) as work colleagues who used to date, as well as Kim Ji-young (Graceful Friends) as Moon Ga-young’s mom, and Ye Soo-jung (The King of Tears, Lee Bang-won) as her grandma.
Directed by PD Hong Jong-chan (Juvenile Justice, Life) and co-written by Kwon Ki-young (Suspicious Partners) and Kwon Do-hwan, Link: Eat and Love, to Kill premieres May 16 in tvN’s Monday-Tuesday slot.
