BTOB member and actor Yook Sung-jae’s latest drama “Mystic Pop-up Bar” will be available on Netflix.
It was included in the May lineup sent to Super K by the streaming giant. The outdoor drinking tent will be at the heart of the drama, very much like the hotel in “Hotel del Luna.”
Yook plays a part-timer in the pub that goes between the living and the dead worlds. He has a special power. Secrets are revealed when he touches a person. Thus, he tries to avoid them as much as possible.
He works for the ill-tempered owner of the pub played by Hwang Jung-eum. Dressed in beautiful traditional wear, she serves clients with delicious looking food and drinks. She’s been counseling people with their problems for the past 500 years to pay for her sins. A quota was imposed on her. She needs to help 100,000 people to be free. However, with only 10 people short, clients stopped going to her pub to ask for help.
How she is able to afford help when there is a decrease in clients is something that will be revealed soon.
The last drama that Yook Sung-jaw was in is “Goblin” (2016-2017). He revealed in the variety show “All the Butlers” that he will be fulfilling his military service soon. But before that, the young actor kept busy since his departure from “All the Butlers” by launching his first solo album, “Yook O’Clock” last month.
