After that, Hyun-oh drew attention by making a deal with a loan shark, Mi-ja Halmae (Choi Soo-min), at the moment when his father suddenly passed away and he was to be placed in an orphanage. In exchange for paying off his father's debt, he accepted her offer to live with five middle-aged women, including himself, and take care of them until he grew old and weak. After that, Hyun-oh asked her to take in Ji-on (Kang Sang-joon) and Soo-jeong (Lee Pil-ra), who were neglected by their parents and starving, and after a long time, they became a warm family. The necklace hanging in the car was a gift from Eun-ho to Hyun-oh, who lost the necklace his mother gave him. Hyun-oh took it off and suppressed his feelings for Eun-ho again as he headed to the hospital where the family who raised him was receiving treatment. Nevertheless, Hyun-oh showed that he still protected Eun-ho in his own way. Eun-ho asked the news director to keep the noon news, which was in danger of being cut, and gave up the 9 o'clock news anchor position, which was her lifelong dream.
